Ashok Ahuja started his early career acting, presenting, narrating, and writing commentaries for Radio and Television, doing more than 200 plays, features, and educational programmes in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi between 1969 and 1972. Trained in Journalism, Theatre, and
FILM, he has written, produced and directed two National and International award winning feature films,
AADHARSHILA, and
VASUNDHARA. He has been a Senior Fellow in Residence at the Harvard University Center for the Study of World Religions where his research focused on the SOTERIOLOGY OF NARRATIVE in exploring the possibilities and impossibilities of universal expression in the Arts (1991-93); and on LANGUAGE AND IDENTITY (1995-96). His recent work with DIGITAL
IMAGES and computer animation has been exhibited by prominent galleries in New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. He is the author of
THE THIRD RACE, a fable, first published by Seagull Books in 2004. |
